2011 San Diego Music Thing!
For the second year in a row, The Secret Samurai will be performing at the San Diego Music Thing Music Conference and Festival. The San Diego Music Thing (formerly North Park Music Thing) is an annual 2-day music conference that takes place Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th, at the historic Lafayette Hotel in North Park - one of San Diego's thriving arts communities.
Registrants have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the music business through interactive and roundtable sessions with nationally-known panelists and featured speakers who represent the best and most innovative aspects of the music business. Day time activities including a trade show, happy hour parties, listening stations and pop up live performances as well as a chance to meet and mingle with top industry professionals and artists. The stay and enjoy the evening Music Fest, with over 150 local, regional and national bands performing at 14 venues around San Diego.

New CD Available Now!!
The Secret Samurai's sophomore CD is available now!! This release contains 10 original compositions which evoke gypsy noir shadow raids and mystical meditations on Turkish time travel. Morroicone-inspired solar apexed gunfight staredown hymns cross-pollinate with Kuraswawa battle drone. Czarist soundscape entanglements morph into snake charm surf rock silhouettes.
The CD was recorded, mixed, and produced by Dave Klein (Agent Orange, The Ghastly Ones, The Bomboras) at Multisonic Studios. Dave also contributed additional percussion and keyboards to many of the tracks. Mastering was done by Paul Abbot of Zen Mastering and layout/design was done by Kenneth Wessel.

Victor Vector (Man or Astroman?) Benefit
The Secret Samurai will be playing a benefit for Man or Astroman? guitarist, Victor Vector on Sunday March 27th at Suzy's in Hermosa Beach, CA. Victor developed a staff infection in his lungs at the end of the latest Man or Astroman? tour and has been hospitalized in the ICU. This event is being put together in aid of Victor's extensive medical bills. All profits are going towards Victor's medical expenses.
Anime Conji 2011!!
The Secret Samurai will be playing at this year's Anime Conji Anime Convention in San Diego, CA. Anime Conji is a three day event from March 25-27. We will be playing on Saturday, March 26th. Find out more info at www.animeconji.org
